Meme game ... I was tagged by Mary Hillis in Japan

I was tagged by Mary and here I am answering  some of the questions of this meme game. I played a meme last year at Open Webpublishing and felt a bit uncomfortable then, maybe because of the question asked. Well, here I go.

What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was living here is Caracas and was already working at Universidad Simón Bolivar in the Language Department. Our president was not in power (although he has been for almost 9 and a half years) so I was safer, more productive, my standard of living was higher and I probably took for granted many things the country does not have anymore such as meritocracy, real freedom, justice and basic food products we don´t find so easily anymore. We lived in a country in its way to the 21st century and now live in one more like the 19th century (sorry, I could not help mentioning this but it is simply part of our 24-7 affecting everything we do).

5 things you have to do today:
Visit my 89 year old mom, correct 55 exams for my reading courses, post the activities for my writing course in the class wiki, call my daughter who lives in Toronto, have dinner with my husband and son.

Snacks I enjoy…
I love everything that is crunchy and makes noise such as Doritos, dry fried plantains, potato chips, peanuts or any kind of cookie or cracker.

Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
I would donate half of my money to some "real" charity, probably related to abandoned children or lonely elderly; travel frequently with my family to far places, especially "cold" areas but during the summer, ha, ha; buy gifts for family and friends that I know will make their lives easier; do two other things I cannot think of right now, ha, ha …

Three of my bad habits:
Leaving certain things to the last minute because I think I work well under pressure; not delegating work on other people which makes me be overloaded most of the time; not exercising as much as I should.

5 places I have lived:
I lived in Broadstairs, Kent, England; in New York; in Milano Italy as a newlywed; in Boston twice, the first time I completed my M. Ed at Boston University; and finally in Toronto last year for my sabbatical.

5 jobs I have had:
I sold clothes and accesories when I was in high school, was a T.A. in college, taught first grade at a bilingual school, worked as a public interpreter and have held many positions at the university where I have worked for the past 16 years (head of language department, head of language lab, joint university coordinator for all freshman students, professors´ representative before the deanship of research and development, etc.)

6 people I want to know more about:
I hope they have not been tagged already, but I would like to know more about my cyberfriends:
Nina Liakos, Illya, Hala, Ronaldo, Maria Claudia and Susana Canelo (Susana's Motime blog)
